The delicious - or not so delicious - way in which a food tastes in your mouth is the result of many factors including flavor, smell, temperature and texture. Taste buds tell us if a food is sweet, sour, salty, bitter or umami; but the flavor of a particular food is also determine by aromas picked up by your nose.
Special Dish
Tikka & Kebab
The history of kebab dates back to 1200 AD when it was first introduced at the Turkish kitchen. It was
brought to India by the Afghans and Mughals. At that time, the Mughal soldiers of the royal army chopped
pieces of boneless meat and threaded them over their swords. They later grilled and cooked them on an open
fire to make them succulent.
The birth of the recipe was in Britain. While some reports suggest, the
recipe was first originated in a Pakistani restaurant at Glasgow named Shish Mahal. Tikka became popular
in India during the era of royal Nawabs who came after the Mughals.
